VimWiki is pretty awesome, but the thing that keeps bringing me back to Obsidian is its ability to directly paste screenshots from the clipboard, where it will automatically save the picture into my attachments folder and do the appropriate markdown to link it.
I'm sure this is easier said than done, but I would on-paste check to see if it's a PNG, if it is write those bytes to some folder called "images" or something, then create a markdown reference to that image. That would bring VimWiki up to 11 for me.
