In 2015, the Haitian government issued a decree legalizing electronic signatures in the country. Until now, the evidence to establish the authenticity of a document in court was the scriptural signature. The first articles of this decree modify the civil code and allow the presentation of electronic documents for example as proof of signature of a contract during a trial.Considering the speed at which information travels today, this law can have a great impact on the country's economic growth by making it easier to do business.
