What is the issue?

After connecting to an alternate server (Headscale) and restarting the device the app is stuck at 'Connecting'. The only way to get a successful connection is to delete the app storage and restart from the beginning.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use the latest version of Tailscale on F-Droid
  2. Connect to a Headscale instance
  3. Restart the phone
  4. Try to connect

Are there any recent changes that introduced the issue?

The latest update!

Can you please provide any adb logcat output to point us towards any errors you're seeing? You didn't attach a bug report identifier so we have nothing to work with.

Do you have "Block connections outside the VPN enabled", and does toggling that change anything? That's a common issue on GrapheneOS where it is enabled by default (even for split tunnel VPNs like Tailscale, where it shouldn't be).
