I'm Roger, and I live in Waterloo, Ontario.
I'm currently working on a RHCSA Open Guide.
Many of my more popular projects are Vim-related.
I'm the creator and maintainer of Gruvbox community edition, a fork of the excellent Gruvbox colorscheme for Vim and beyond.
I am also the creator of vim-flog, a lightweight and powerful Git branch viewer plugin for Vim.
I'm also part of the vifm organization, which is a Vim-like file manager. As part of my work there I've improved Vim 8 and NeoVim integration with vifm.
Finally, I'm also the creator of vim-crystalline, a lightweight and vanilla-flavored statusline and tabline plugin for Vim.
Although many of my most popular projects are Vim related, I do other stuff too. I'm a full-stack developer by trade, and I've also worked in robotics.
One of my lesser known but more ambitious projects is LSDisJ, a disassembly of Little Sound DJ, an amazing music tracker for GameBoy.
I'm also working on BEAST, a brand-new disassembler for GameBoy written in Lua.
As per my areas of interest, I have made contributions to many projects. Some of these include:
- I helped make color codes more compliant in the Alacritty terminal emulator
- I helped add OracleDB support to the Bookshelf ORM
- I helped add rebasing support to the vim-fugitive Vim git plugin
Your sponsorship will go towards my daily expenses and help me continue to support my projects and contribute to open source software, including full-stack development related projects, disassembly projects, and Vim projects.
I have all the flexibility I need to contribute to these projects in my life, but not always a justifiable reason.
I'm always exploring alternative revenue streams using my talents, and if that could be open source software, I will happily dedicate all of my time here.
Thanks for reading!
