Account Payment Intransit

This module allows you to manage payment in-transit and supports multi-currency.

i.e. You received check on the 1st and check dated on 5th. So you can create record in payment in-transit for manage you deposit and validate when you received bank deposit

Table of contents

In the menu Invoicing > Configuration > Accounting > Journals, create a new journal:

  • Name: Bank Intransit
  • Type: Bank
  • Short Code: BIT (or any code you want)
  • Default Debit Account: select an account for received
  • Default Credit Account: idem

In the menu Invoicing > Configuration > Accounting > Bank Accounts, create a new bank account:

  • Name: Name of Bank
  • Back Account: select your bank

Used auto post Journal Entry when create payment in-transit

  • Invoicing > Configuration > Settings > Payment Intransit
  • check Post Move for Payment Intransit

When you receive a check, cash or transfer that pays a customer invoice,

go to the menu Invoicing > Accounting > Payment Intransit, create a new payment in-transit and set the journal Bank Intransit and select the bank account on which you want to receive. Then click on Add a line to select the payment, type of payment and allocation to in-transit. Eventually, validate the deposit.
