Music Interaction Fails to Play Notes #7965

Describe the bug
The music interaction Play button is non-functional.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to https://oppiatestserver.appspot.com/explore/16
  2. Work through the exploration until the music interaction
  3. Add some notes
  4. Click on Play

Observed behavior
No sound plays.

Expected behavior
The notes should be played

Desktop (please complete the following information; delete this section if the issue does not arise on desktop):

  • OS: macOS
  • Browser: Firefox
  • Version: 2.8.7

Hi @U8NWXD, I am not able to reproduce this bug. Can you please confirm once again? Thanks!

Note: I tried this on chrome. Can you check if it is specific to firefox only?

Y'know, this is a bit weird. Did something change between when @U8NWXD first reported this bug and now?

I just re-deployed with a cherrypick of #7954 but I do not think it should interfere in any way with the music interaction. Also, similar behaviour on #7962 (which I have closed). Shall we close this too?

Also @U8NWXD did you check the console logs while testing?

One other detail is that before I tried playing the music, I removed the note that was initially present before adding it back. However, when I tried to reproduce the bug later, the music played even after I repeated those steps. Unfortunately I do not have console output for when the bug was occurring. I'll make sure to keep the console in the future.
