Metadata values can be any of:

  • Strings
  • Accounts
  • Currency
  • Dates (datetime.date)
  • Tags
  • Numbers (Decimal)
  • Amount (beancount.core.amount.Amount)

However, the syntax as defined today will mark a number as an error, despite passing bean-check.

2018-10-03 open Assets:Cash
    some-key: 2.00
