<p class="intro">It's imposing Georgian front was built in the early 18th century and the ground floor to the rear is thought to date back to Elizabethan times, around 1570 - 1600. The interior has a cosy welcoming atmosphere, with timber beams and a high wooden plinth adorned with memorabilia. </p>

<p>Hartshorne village church was rebuilt in 1835, though it retains its 15th century tower and 14th century font. A fine alter tomb shows the alabaster figures of Sir Humhrey Dethick of 1599 and his wife.</p>

<p>The Dethick's paid long and loyal service to the Royal family of their day - one of the Dethick's went to Cleves to find a fourth wife Henry VIII while his son Sir William is said to have laid a pall of rich velvet on the coffin of Mary, Queen of Scots. </p>

<p>We are a husband and wife team with some great staff in support. We do our best to give a really warm welcome to everyone who walks through the door. </p>
