Add translation welcome details to readme (pull out maintainer wanted and put them together in a contribute or help us section, maybe)
Have a go-to person assigned for incoming pull requests in each language, maybe

1 seems easy, we can just start with that.

I translated the readme into two indian languages

Hindi and 2.Marathi, pull request translated readme to two more languages #89
