Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A feature I miss in many of my metabase charts is some indication that specific data is incomplete like the most recent week. The most practical example is looking at something like a 7 day conversion rate on a weekly basis. Because conversions can be counted up to 7 days after account create when accounting for a 7 day trial, the most recent week is always incomplete data.
Describe the solution you'd like
Other analytics tools we use have a mechanism to color that section of the line or bar a unique color or perhaps to make the last portion of the line dotted. For a tool like metabase it's possible what I'm asking is merely choosing the color or customized visual of a data point based on a value like a bool in the same row.
Describe alternatives you've considered
In dashboards I often create two charts. Last 24 weeks not including the current week and a separate This Week. This helps provide context for incomplete data. but it's imperfect. Because depending on the timeframe, even last week's data can be incomplete depending on the window the data settles.
How important is this feature to you?
This feature is a nice to have. The data we show is not incorrect, it's just lacking context. Having this feature would prevent a constant need to say "the most recent X is incomplete".
Additional context
This is an example looking at weekly retention data. Each week has different windows for data being considered complete. The dotted visual makes it easy to tell at a glance which data is set and which data is still counting.
