About emmet-ls, it looks like they're sending us workspace/didChangeConfiguration notifications that we don't support yet.

I believe this is an issue with the LSP server, as we don't advertise that we support that feature.
It seems like it simply checks if we have support for workspace/configuration requests (we do), and use that as justification to send us workspace/didChangeConfiguration (https://github.com/aca/emmet-ls/blob/1bf1b0ac3c76fca04e5135cb6d7ea4905cb086cf/src/server.ts#L41-L43 then https://github.com/aca/emmet-ls/blob/1bf1b0ac3c76fca04e5135cb6d7ea4905cb086cf/src/server.ts#L124-L130).

For now try setting this https://github.com/lite-xl/lite-xl-lsp/blob/028ebb132a43951e07d96e49aac19d4f864f830e/server.lua#L314 to false, and it should at least work.

You can now try lite-xl-lsp master with lite-xl/lite-xl-lsp#112 applied and the proposed workaround for now.

Or using LPM lpm run --ephemeral https://github.com/Guldoman/lite-xl-lsp:PR_allow_custom_capabilities lsp and adding

@Guldoman hi. im not creating another issue for this as it is related to this lsp only.
while using this lsp, it checks for completion on each keystroke which significantly reduces responsiveness and makes it very laggy. any fixes?

Is it laggy with only lsp_emmet installed?
Do you have an example project I can test this out in?
I've only tested this on simple html pages and it seemed to work fine, but I'm on a relatively powerful machine.

Just to check, are you referring to laggy as the behavior that the completion doesn't show up on every keypress?
At the moment you can force it with > or with ctrl+space.

i have a 4gb ram laptop and its only laggy with lsp emmet.

i meant lag as in words appear 3-4 seconds after typing and sometimes it just seems hanged

@chadcat7 Could you please provide details regarding the hardware and software specifications of the system? This includes information such as the operating system, RAM capacity, CPU type, and average CPU usage etc... any of these will help to understand your issue.

Overall i can say that the lsp is running on a separate process with nodejs so its a running in the background using your limited resources (ram) so this is probably the issue here.
