<p>

The variable <code class="varname">gl_PointSize</code> is intended for a vertex shader to write

the size of the point to be rasterized. It is measured in pixels.

If <code class="varname">gl_PointSize</code> is not written to, its value is undefined in subsequent

pipeline stages.
