Currently, there seems to be no set of standards that need to be met to promote a feature from alpha to beta and then to GA. We should create a document and make sure that feature developers are aware of the requirements before pushing their feature on to the next stage.

Update: Will try to discuss using KEP for this SIG at the next meeting.

Update: Discussed at SIG Network meeting. Everyone seems on board. Next step is to write a retroactive kep or two to act as a benchmark for the future. Plan is to write one for IPVS and CoreDNS.

CoreDNS KEP is out for review (#1956). Closing this issue now that it looks like we are going to adopt KEP.
