Hello everyone,
I get these error messages when I try to install your Piler 1.4.5 on Debian Linux 12:

This always stops after the database is generated using "make postinstall". I tried this with PHP8.3 and with PHP7.4, without success.
Since this is in this build of piler 1.4.5, my question is: What is the cause of these errors and, above all, how can they be fixed?

It's a known issue in 1.4.5. Try the master branch where it's been fixed.
Btw, I'll release 1.4.6 this weekend that contains the fix.

Okay,
the branch master is renewed and "util/postinstall.sh" is renamed to "util/postinstall.sh.in", very great. make postinstall runs well! But when I want to start Sphinx, the same file makes errors:

# /etc/init.d/rc.searchd start
