Hello. I know that #7 closed the issue, but I cannot, for the life of me, display influx consistently in the reading mode. I am either doing something incredibly stupid or some other plugin is interfering with influx. This is because influx seems to work as intended when I tested it on a fresh new vault with no other plugins installed. But the moment I install some other plugin (e.g. dataview) it stops displaying in reading mode. It shows up occasionally on obsidian start, but I could not catch the pattern.

Thanks a lot for developing this plugin.

System details:
Obsidian version: 1.1.15 (on Linux using Flatpak)
Influx version: 2.1.2
Plugins used in my main vault: Advanced Slides, Advanced Tables, Calendar, Checklist, Citations, Dataview, DB Folder, Force note view mode, Full Calendar, Hider, Influx, Outliner, Projects, Quickadd.

Okay, I think I found a pattern. Influx refuses to work in the reading mode if I have "Open daily notes on startup" enabled.

Hi there,

Just to say, I also had this issue (influx links not displaying in reading mode). It seems to be conflicting with the Banners plugin. When I remove that plugin, Influx works as expected.

I also have an issue with incorrect linked references in reading mode, the pattern to reproduce is like this (works even in a new vault with Influx being the only plugin installed).

  1. Create a first note
  2. Create a second note, which has a link to the first note

Now when you are in preview mode on the first note, the influx section will show the linked reference from the second note.
But if you navigate to the 2nd note in preview mode, the influx section will stay the same, while in reality it should not show anything (since there are no notes with links to the 2nd note).

It seems like the influx section is not being refreshed if the 2nd note doesn't have any backlinks.

Same flow works correctly in edit mode.

@Arkadipta Came here to post an issue when I saw your finding. Turns out, it fixed my problem with Influx! Luckily for me, I don't make much use of the Daily Notes, so it wasn't really a big deal turning that option off.

I have the same problem. I thought the daily note on open was causing it, so I disabled. Now I notice that loading a page with data view query disables. If I quit Obsidian and then relaunch I'll get the backlinks again in reading mode until I open a page with a data view query.

FYI @jensmtg updated the README.md of this repository to add

Warning I'm sad to say I can't find the time to maintain this plug-in. As such, issues will not be read. I may merge pull requests from time to time. If you think you can maintain this plugin please contact me.
