A repository for ElasticSearch-related brews.

• Homebrew
• OSX El Capitan. Untested everywhere else.
• The Homebrew versions tap - brew tap homebrew/versions

Setup the homebrew/versions tap which has dependencies we need:

$ brew tap homebrew/versions

Then, run the following in your command-line:

$ brew tap henrytseng/homebrew-elasticsearch

To install ElasticSearch 1.5.2

$ brew install elasticsearch15

To start the service

brew services start elasticsearch15

To stop the service

brew services stop elasticsearch15

And to check if the service is working

brew services list

Check for a reponse from

curl http://localhost:9200

If you've installed another version of ElasticSearch make sure to unlink a previous version, depending on what version:

brew unlink elasticsearch
