Despite being a legit unreserved character, * is not handled well by some websites, notably stackoverflow.

URL encoding the * seems to fix the problem (see my comment under this answer).

So I suggest automatically URL encoding the * in URLs like http://gramdict.ru/search/*%D1%82%D0%B8
