G+Smo workshop, March 12-13 2020

@Inria (Byron blanc)

The aim of this event is to introduce the participants to the C++ software library "Geometry plus Simulation Modules" (G+Smo), a software library for isogeometric analysis. We shall discuss existing capabilities, new or requested features as well as open problems related to geometry and simulation. There will be extended tutorials and hands-on sessions to initiate discussions and the development of ideas and prototypes. Please bring your laptop, equiped with a recent C++ compiler, CMake and ParaView.

Topics include

  • Practical introduction to isogeometric analysis
  • C++ Repository setup, compilation and first examples
  • Linear algebra backend based on Eigen library
  • Using splines and multipatch representations
  • Working with isogeometric variational formulations
  • Adaptivity using hierarchical splines
  • Extension modules such as Trilinos and IPOPT

First session will start at 10:00 on Thursday March 12. More details will appear on this page later.
