This issue summarises the work needed ahead of the release of 0.1.0 which is aiming to be the last release (at least for the moment) with major breaking changes. I think timeline wise sometime next week is a sensible aim. If there are parts of this we have yet to implement (with major features being the most likely thing to be missing). I'd suggest we release and put these in the next version.
Note should probably have used a project for this and will do so in the future!
#57 is near complete with it just needing a few more unit tests to complete coverage of the new functions. #52 is pretty quick. #105 has nearly been resolved with just ubuntu devel CI causing an issue.
I think #105 and #114 are now the only real blockers for releasing 0.1.0 -> main. If anyone has some capacity to think about them (@adrian-lison@sbfnk@FelixGuenther@johannes) we can get the breaking changes out the way and make people feel more comfortable using the package.
Then we can get on to the exciting feature updates, make the model so fancy (also more postprocessing and prior customisation but less exciting), and make handling data super easy and fun.
I've dropped #52 and #114 from this release and bumped into the next (after adding some additional clarifying documentation. I think everything is now in place for this to go to main. Will merge #57, kick the tires, and then complete the rest of this checklist. Anyone with some time please also kick the tires.
