As we have so many keyboard shortcuts, we could also provide one for creating a new item (Ctrl + N or something similar).

There is a slight problem: user than has to select new item type and this won't work using keyboard unless we implement it ourself. @matejm @DzinVision do we want to deal with this or is it to much work?
