That was a huge F*ing pain. I did not downgrade my openssl like many of you, and simply pushed to the front version of python on macports (2.7.10). What caused me a lot of issues was that pip installed coursera-dl into a random folder and pip didn't symlink it properly. I had to uninstall coursera-dl on pip, and then reinstall for it to work.
First time user, not sure what's going on.
