That sounds great, but I only read about GtkSharp once.
I currently have no idea how much work it would be to maintain that!
Any idea how often one would need to change / fix something, is that a stable project?

Before you do, well you can start in parallel, I do need to add a CLA, and some coding guidelines to the project, as some of the PRs I've got are filled with a lot of noise.

@knuxbbs CLA checks are added to the repository, so are code of conduct and an .editorconfig.

That leaves the question on how much work it would be to maintain the proposed extension.

I wanted to ask you how the progress is, but after reading your issue I might have misinterpreted it.
Did you want to implement something which made it possible to use Dapplo.Microsoft.Extensions.Hosting with GtkSharp and make it available via a PR or were you just asking if this could be made (not by you)?

That was just a suggestion. Someone came up with an example using Generic Host Builder, as seen here.

Since .NET has become truly cross-platform, I thought it would be worth having a plugin that was not limited to Windows.
