I'm not sure if gitoxide supports all the required features that cocogitto needs but I'd love to see gitoxide being used as an alternative to libgit2.

This is definitely something that I am planning to do in the near future.

I started to work on a refactor to split cocogitto into multiple crates (see: #392)
Once this is done we will be able to slowly transition per crate to gitoxide where it's possible.

Also it could be interesting to ask on the gitoxide issue tracker what features would be missing from gitoxide.
You are welcome to do that. I will ask Byron at some point but it's still a bit early to do it at this point.
