Looks like the file was encoded with invalid duration. Does this also happen if you play the file with mpv?

The file type is m4b.
I don't have an mpv file, but this doesn't work with wav, mp3, and mov file types.

I was actually referring to mpv, the CLI media player (and the library that Celluloid is built on). Can you try installing mpv, play the file with it, and see if the problem still occurs?

Alternatively, you can upload a sample file here and I'll take a look.

What's the file duration reported by mpv? You can press Shift+O to display the duration.

In mpv the program is closed when track comes to end.

If you add --keep-open to the command line options, it will remain open even after the file ends.
