Describe the problem:

When using Pop-nord-dark (light not tested), the shell freaks out a bit due to lack of support for the way shell colors schemes are handled with libadwaita.

Also, in order to have compatibility with applications that use the libadwaita color-scheme, you have you set the GTK_THEME environment variable, this is also what breaks compatibility with shell items as before it would use the regular system dark color scheme. I'm not sure if there is a way you can have support for the color scheme in the backend of libadwaita and I don't really know how theme design works, but I figured I would bring this to your attention
