Describe the Bug

this happened after I put a minecraft 360 screenshot as background and deleted the screenshots

VID_20240918_131933.mp4

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. set a 360 wallpaper
  2. make the file path invalid (rename, move or delete)
  3. reboot
  4. open the desktop cube

output of GNOME Shell for any error messages: nothing

Expected Behavior

either
keep a copy of the background somewhere
fall back on the background
or show a black background

System

Please complete the following information:

  • Linux distribution Arch Linux x86_64
  • Desktop Cube version 26
  • GNOME Shell version: 46
  • Kernel driver in use: nvidia

Thanks for the report! I guess that this should be rather easy to fix. Once I find the time, I can look into it. If anybody else wants to fix this, I will happily accept a pull request!
