            <h3>What is MakeCode?</h3>
            <p><a href="http://makecode.com" target="_new">Microsoft MakeCode</a> is a free, open-source code platform that allows users to write programs for a wide variety of applications even if 
            they have little or no previous coding experience.<br/></p>

            <h3>Program Overview</h3>
            <p>Through the MakeCode Insiders Program, participants will have the opportunity to directly influence the future development of Microsoft MakeCode. </p>

            <p>MakeCode Insiders will benefit by connecting with likeminded students, learning how software products are developed, meeting engineers, program managers and designers at Microsoft, and helping to influence the product roadmap.  </p>

                <p><strong>Activities include:</strong></p>
                <ul>
                    <li> Meeting online once a week with other Insiders and members of the MakeCode team to try the product and provide feedback</li>
                <li>At-home explorations, like playing with guided tutorials</li>
                </ul>

            <h3>Program Criteria</h3>
            <p>To be eligible for the program, pre-teens must meet the following criteria. </p>
            <ul>
                <li>Must be 9-12 years old</li>
                <li>Live in the United States</li>
                <li>Read and speak English fluently</li>
                <li>Be available for a 60-90 minute virtual session every week for three months</li>
                <li>Be available to dedicate up to an hour of additional time each week to Insider projects</li>
                <li>No coding experience required </li>
            </ul>


        <p>The Spring cohort will run <strong>April 6th through June 15th</strong> (10 weeks) with an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week, and we are looking for students between the ages of 9 and 12 years old.</p>

        <p>If your child is interested in participating, please fill out the form below.  We will follow up via email by March 16th, 2022.</p>

                <p>Next, fill out the <a href="https://forms.office.com/r/EZpzftQc15" target="_new">Insider Application</a> on your child's behalf and submit it to us by 11:59pm on February 27, 2022.

                <p>Finalists will be contacted to schedule an interview. Selected pre-teens will be notified by 3/16/2022.
