I just added it to my HA-instance as I mostly want to version my config (also pyscript scripts which I edit directly via visual studio code addon). Works like a charm, thank you for that!

What I couldn't figure out, does it run periodically, and if so, in which intervals and can you configure that? From what I can see it does start on startup of HA (if enabled in addons), but does it run more often than that?

Ah! I just noticed that it just runs the pull + push one time when started and then the addon completely stops. This on one hand makes it possible to always do that on HA startup via "start addon on startup" - but since there is a "start addon X" action, you can start it via any automation or node red or pyscript or whatever you want, giving it endless possibilities. Very cool! :D Maybe it would be helpful to somehow mention this on the Readme for newbees to that topic like me? :)
