I used to use Evernote for taking notes. Great stuff. Quick bits of text stored in a searchable manner and with an app available for the iPhone, my notes could come with me.

With Windows 7 and a netbook, I realised this was overkill. I began using Sticky Notes all the time. The only problem, I couldn’t take my notes with me. They were stuck on whatever machine I had left them on. Evernote became cumbersome and intensive to load just to add a quick snippet of text

Enter Simplenote. Simple, light, quick text synching from machine to the cloud internet.

Sharpnote is really just a toy – a learning tool – an excuse for me to play with some of .NET 4.0’s new offerings (named parameters, tuples and whatever I think may help). And maybe – for once – actually provide something that may be useful to others.

With Sharpnote you can connect, request, create, update and delete notes from your verified note store. That’s it. That’s all you need!
