(Could be related to #430)

Some games have been given odd names on the official stores, either because of them being a special version of the base game or for no good reason whatsoever, which is a problem when trying to use anything but the official stores for covers or descriptions.

This is a limitation of automatic Metadata querying that could be circumvent with some kind of online form to which users could contribute based on every specific case they encounter.

For example, I could point out that Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition should just appear as Deus Ex when looking to IGDB or Wikipedia for Metadata.

I think this will be solved once #391 is implemented.

I'm going to close this. This would require maintaining some extra list of games and also reviewing user contributions to it and I don't think that's currently possible for me to do. Also, I don't think the issue here affects that many games overall and we can always improve this in the metadata plugin itself. If there are some specific games that don't match properly automatically, please open issue to affected metadata plugin.
