Mike Warren

Anchor/Reporter

Mike Warren joined FOX 7 Austin in 2004 as an anchor and reporter.

His broadcasting career began in college radio at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, where he graduated with a BA in English Literature. But broadcasting had to wait several years after college while he lived in Europe for a year and worked in financial sales in San Francisco. He got back into broadcasting as a reporter at KRNV in Reno, NV and then at KMST in Monterey, CA. His first anchor job was mornings at KTUL in Tulsa, OK and from there he moved to Phoenix, AZ where he reported and anchored at KTVK.

Being from a family with a long military tradition, one of his primary callings is a commitment to the United States Military and Veterans. Mike spearheads the FOX 7 Care Force, which is the station's effort to assist veterans and active duty military in their transitions back to civilian life. In 2013, he received the media award from the Texas Veterans Commission in recognition of his ongoing effort to help Texas veterans.
