Rebecca Thomas
Rebecca Thomas joined FOX 7 Austin in September of 2015 to anchor FOX 7 News at 5, 6, 9, and 10 p.m. - with veteran Austin journalist, Mike Warren. Originally from Southern California, Rebecca came to Austin from Phoenix, where she worked as an anchor and reporter for the ABC affiliate and then the CBS affiliate.
Journalism runs in Rebecca's blood. Her grandfather was the editor of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner in the 1960s and 1970s and her uncle is a retired photographer and photo editor for the Los Angeles Times.
Rebecca has embraced everything about Austin - enjoying its vibrant, local food, and music scenes. An avid explorer of the great outdoors, you can find her kayaking Lady Bird Lake and hiking Austin’s trails with her three 'pound puppies.'
