KSAZ TV – Director of Creative Services 

KSAZ FOX 10 / FOX Local / FOX10Phoenix.com, the Fox Owned and Operated duopoly in Phoenix AZ (DMA #11) is in search of a Director of Creative Services. The ideal candidate will shape the marketing plan for the duopoly stations and streaming platforms. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a creative mindset, capable of leading a team to deliver compelling marketing campaigns across all platforms. Experience in social media, digital/streaming marketing and managing budgets is essential. Media/Journalism background is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement differentiated and impactful marketing strategies, and campaigns, across linear TV, social media, and streaming platforms.
  • Develop strategies to grow unique viewers and improve total view time across streaming platforms.
  • Ability to analyze digital performance through tools like Adobe analytics, ChartBeat and Google Search Console - and apply specific strategies for growth.
  • Understand Nielsen and Comscore ratings and use them effectively in creating marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with News department to amplify content and support the overall news brand.
  • Work closely with Sales department to lend creative support within the sales process.
  • Develop marketing partnerships with local organizations and community events.
  • Manage and maintain consistent station design and brand across all platforms and user experiences.
  • Identify competitors across all platforms and evaluate their strategies and devise counterstrategies.
  • Develop and manage department budget and expenditures.
  • Create a collaborative marketing environment where innovation and original ideas thrive.
  • Comply with all FOX Corporate and station policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written communication, oral communication, presentation, and team building skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building branding campaigns, digital marketing and streaming content strategies that engage viewers and users.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality work – from script writing to art direction, editing, producing, music, and voice-over selection, animation, and graphics.
  • Must possess strong industry relationships, knowledge of industry standards, and best practices.
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask, operate within budgetary and schedule constraints, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the media industry including but not limited to social, digital, out-of-home, connected TV, and broadcast.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Radio/TV, or related discipline preferred.

KSAZ TV – Associate Producer
FOX 10, Arizona’s preeminent source for news, is seeking a talented, passionate, creative, and collaborative Associate Producer to join our dynamic team! KSAZ-TV Weather Anchor/Reporter
FOX 10, Arizona’s preeminent source for news, is seeking a talented, passionate, creative, and collaborative Weather Anchor/Reporter to join our dynamic team! As part of the FOX family, you will receive generous time off, 401k matching, a wealth of employee resources and superior medical, dental and vision benefits from day 1! Will be required to prepare and present compelling weather reports utilizing state-of-the-art technology for use on-air and online.  Must show ability to create and present interesting weathercasts specific to current and future events, report live in the elements and collaborate with the newsroom on weather events.  Experience with WSI Max Weather and a degree in meteorology a plus.  Candidates must show strong proficiency on-air as well as an established social media presence/engagement.  Will perform the functions of a GA Reporter, as required.  Must be able to produce and present live coverage of feature reports or special events. Participation in station sponsored community events will be required. KSAZ TV – Photographer
FOX 10, Arizona’s preeminent source for news, is seeking a talented, passionate, creative, and collaborative photographer to join our dynamic team! Job duties include covering general news assignments in a fast-paced environment using electronic VIDEO camera & editing equipment, applying techniques appropriate to each story.  Understanding of different camera/media formats required.  Recent on-the-street TV news photography experience required.  Must have live ENG remote experience, including streaming platforms and microwave truck operation.  Excellent storytelling techniques including composition, use of audio, lighting and effective editing required.  Along with photography, editing is a major component of this position, whether in the field or at the station.  Applicant must be able to edit ENG material both remotely and in-house for various newscasts under specific time constraints using non-linear editing equipment.  Must have a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere or comparable editing platforms. Familiarity with Bitcentral newsroom systems and iNews a plus.  Candidate is expected to be willing to cross-train into other areas of the news operation if needed. KSAZ TV - News Producer

Must be able to complete simple desktop editing and use templates to produce graphics. Utilizes a variety of storytelling techniques and tools to showcase stories in unique ways. Must have strong knowledge of social media and be able to incorporate and showcase content from multiple platforms into newscast. Have exceptional news judgment, strong writing and copy-editing abilities. We are looking for a competitor who can collaborate with the staff to perform at the highest levels every day. Must be able to work in fast-paced environment under specific time constraints while demonstrating exceptional creativity. Must be self-motivated and work productively on a team. KSAZ TV – Account Executive 
FOX 10 / FOX10Xtra in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for an Account Executive.  This position is responsible for generating digital and broadcast revenue for Phoenix, Arizona’s top news and sports stations.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated and results-oriented and thrives developing new business, selling OTT and CTV platforms, creating, and selling unique multi-screen promotional sponsorships, and maintaining and improving an existing client list.  The successful AE candidate must be able to work in a team environment, possess excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills and be able to develop strong client and agency relationships .  This candidate must also be able to identify qualified targets and opportunities and aggressively pursue digital, OTT and new business advertisers, provide strategic advice throughout the sales process, and close new sales.  We are looking for someone that can bring together all our resources [FLX/OTT, Top Rated Local News, FOX sports, Market-leading news, MyNetwork TV, Multi-platform Sponsorships and Promotions] and provide marketing solutions in a creative manner to achieve a high level of results.  Other responsibilities include but not limited to: process transactional business, timely management of accounts and administrative tasks, maintain a high level of communication with station and corporate management, sales staff, and all station personnel. Participate in sales trainings and meetings.

  • 3+ years professional experience in Sales, Account Management, and/or Business Development, preferably in a TV sales environment.

KSAZ TV - Maintenance Engineer
KSAZ/KUTP FOX Television Stations Owned and Operated in Sunny Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a Maintenance Engineer. In this role you will employ your electro-mechanical and information systems skills in a customer service-based environment where we support our news broadcasting and digital streaming efforts.

SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensure that all technical equipment is operational and support the production department’s use of the equipment. Supported systems include, but are not limited to: HDSDI router and switchers, audio consoles and network, intercom system, digital asset management system, virtual set systems, cameras, multi-view monitor systems
  • Identify signal parameters and troubleshoot issues using test equipment including waveform monitors, vector monitors, audio metering, network and transport stream analyzers, and a variety of cable testers
  • Work daily with Engineers, Production, News, and Digital personnel to support live programming
  • Ensure all production systems are up-to-date and functioning as needed
  • Troubleshoot issues with broadcast systems, and work with vendors and open trouble tickets with customer support
  • Repair or replace equipment as needed
  • Work with Engineering Leadership Team to plan and implement projects on tasks including research and specification of vendor/hardware/software, installation and configuration of system or solution
  • Occasional facility maintenance level work will be assigned as required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Knowledge of broadcast video routing systems, signal distribution and processing, and installation and repair
  • Knowledge of production systems including switchers, cameras, audio, multi-image displays, digital effects, graphics, and editing
  • Sony and NewTek switchers, SSL and audio consoles and BitCentral Core, iTX, Adobe CC, Telestream and Signiant products, RTS and ClearCom intercom, Evertz EQX, VIP with Magnum control.
  • Functional knowledge and demonstrated networking and IT skills
  • Proven Experience with internet streaming protocols and techniques
  • Knowledge of satellite and compression systems (receivers, dish control systems, encoders, multiplexers, encryption and decryption equipment)
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to interact with all levels of people including management, peers, operators, and vendors
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Visio
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to function in a dynamic environment and work independently
  • Capacity to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience as an engineer in live television or post-production environment preferred
  • Experience supporting cloud-based content management or OTT streaming preferred
  • VHF and UHF transmitter experience preferred
