Good morning everyone. I have Cubasis LE installed on my iPad. 2) I bought the outlet license for all the Pro features in the app 3) I bought all the available plugins in the app 4) My displayed icon remained Cubasis LE despite having all the Pro features 5) I decide to buy Cubasis 3 DAW & Studio . 6) I open Cubasis 3 DAW &Studio, select Shop/Restore Purchase and a message tells me that all the plugins I have purchased in Cubasis LE full license are not transferable.7) I purchase all the plugins in the Cubasis 3DAW&Studio app for the second time.8) I send a refund request to apple for the plugins purchased with Cubasis LE the previous day, and Apple replies that they are non-refundable. What do you think and what does Steinberg think about it? Why were my purchases from Cubasis 3LE to Cubasi 3DAW& studio not recognized as transferable? Hello everyone and thanks for your time

Hi Donaz,

Welcome to the Cubasis forum.

Thanks for your message, which unfortunately is not easy to follow/understand (as it seems to include many purchases on top of each another).

Below I’ve tried to answer a few of your questions and sharing facts about Cubasis 3 and Cubasis LE 3:

Cubasis LE 3
Cubasis LE 3 runs in a free demo mode, unless unlocked via a compatible/bundled audio device. Once Cubasis LE 3 is unlocked, users are free to purchase optional in-app purchases, such as the Full Feature Set IAP, which updates Cubasis LE 3 with the same features of Cubasis 3 at a reduced price, while leaving the app name and icon remain unchanged (due to technical limitations).

In-App Purchases Transfer
When we’ve released Cubasis 3, we’ve included the option to freely transfer existing Cubasis 2 instrument and effect plug-in in-app purchases to Cubasis 3, as described in the following article (which has been released in Dec `19): How to transfer Cubasis 2 in-app purchases to Cubasis 3

Refunding app purchases
Cubasis for iOS is distributed via the Apple App Store. Here, it is important to know that only Apple is able to refund app purchases. As a first step, I strongly suggest to get in touch with someone at the App Store asap, trying to explain the issue and to discuss the feasible options to receive refunds for your doubled app and/or in-app-purchases.

Hope that helps,
Lars

Hi Lars I’m not in contact with Apple but they make a fuss they don’t want to refund me. I bought the license to unlock Cubasis 3 LE and all possible plugins but that Cubasis 3 LE icon was too annoying. I bought Cubasis 3 DAW and once again I had to buy all plugins because Restore Purchase didn’t work on Cubasis 3 DAW with purchases made in Cubasis LE + full license.

Hi @Donaz,

Once more, I strongly suggest to get in touch with someone at the App Store asap. Explain the issue to them in checking feasible options to receive refunds for your doubled app and/or in-app-purchases. It’s up to them…

In the case of future issues, I recommend to get in touch with us via this forum first!!

Hope that works,
Lars

Hi I have contacted Apple four times. They are behaving very badly because they have not given me any answer.

Hi @Donaz,

Unfortunately it’s up to Apple to provide you with a refund for your in-app purchases. Please give it a try to speak with someone from their support department in person.

Thanks
Lars

Hi,
Steinberg and Apple really make me laugh, Steinberg says that Apple has to give me the refund, and Apple says that Steinberg has to give me the refund. I must say that you have achieved your goal. You’ve made me tired and you pity me too so big business giants, keep my € 27.00, it seems that you really need it, in the end you are absolute beginners.

Donato D.

Hi @Donaz,

Unfortunately we are unable to refund App Store purchases, only Apple can do it.

Please refer to this article (and feel free to browse the web yourself):

Best,
Lars
