Resources and Training for Cooperating Technical Partners

Getting Involved with the CTP Program

The Collaboration Center is a one-stop shop with training materials, guidance, meeting notes, discussion boards and more.

FEMA recognizes participating partners who demonstrate flood mapping program proficiency and best practices in management, technology, innovation, mapping and/or communications.

Training Opportunities

CTP Program training provides competency-based training designed to support identified roles and competencies for continued growth and development for both CTPs and FEMA staff.

Training is available via an individual self-paced course, instructor-led classroom and virtual classroom (webinar, recorded sessions and microlearning). Webinars are offered periodically through year. The CTP Collaboration Center contains a training library of recorded webinars and microlearning (job aids, infographics, videos, and animated presentations).

If you are thinking about becoming a CTP, you are required to take CTP 101.

Once you've executed a Partnership Agreement, you can take additional CTP training, like the CTP Special Topics Course.

As your participation in the CTP Program progresses, there are additional training opportunities centered on the functions of being a CTP. Hosted on our Collaboration Center website, these opportunities include webinars and online self-paced learning opportunities. Learn how to register for the Collaboration Center.
