TELEPHONE BINGO
Tuesdays, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 at 2 pm

Download 2 Bingo cards from the Internet, call the Center and ask us to mail you 2 cards, OR stop by the Center and pick up cards. On any Tuesday about 2 pm call (859-474-2189) from your phone—either land line or cell phone. Cheryl will tell  you what to do.

Capital Pharmacy pharmacists will be here to give flu shots, the new COVID shots (if available) and other common annual boosters. Please bring your insurance card and your drug benefits card with you.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK

Representatives from the Franklin County Health Department will be here to take your blood pressure if you’d like.

TECHNOLOGY 101 DATA TRACKING & COOKIES

Dalton Bennett from Paul Sawyier Public Library will join us to talk about how the data we put on web sites is tracked by the sites. He’ll also explain what cookies are and what we should know about them.

CRAFT AFTERNOON

Karen Rosier will join us to show us how to fold paper. I’m sure we’ve all heard of  the Japanese art of Origami. You can learn the art as well. Our designs might  not be intricate, but  wouldn’t it be fun to learn and then share with your grandchildren and great grandchildren at upcoming holiday events?

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP

A  confidential, supportive environment for mutual support and social relationships, this group also provides information about dementia and helps caregivers develop methods and skills to solve problems.


KORT PHYSICAL THERAPY DEMONSTRATION

Therapists from KORT will demonstrate easy exercises that each of us can do that will strengthen our hips and thighs.

DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT
Mondays, October 21, 28, Nov 18, 25, Dec 2, 9, 10 am

Debbie Bell, Franklin Co. Health Department, will lead the diabetes classes designed for individuals with diabetes and/or family members who want to learn how to best manage diabetes. This program addresses the 7 Self-Care areas: healthy coping, healthy eating, being physically active, taking medications, problem solving, monitoring blood sugar and reducing risks.
