Mostly known for ice hockey, the group also offers figure skating, family entertainment, and concerts to more than 3 million people, and strives to create meaningful connections to deliver memorable experiences for every guest.
Communication is core to creating that connection. When SSE decided to upgrade its phone system, the team specifically sought agility and flexibility, which became increasingly important for hybrid employees to provide premium service to customers.
“Your location should not really dictate your experience with the technology,” said Neda Tabatabaie, Vice President of Business Analytics & Technology for SSE. “We already had a great partnership with Zoom, so [Zoom Phone] was just a natural fit. We didn’t have to introduce a new technology; it was an upgrade to the systems and the tools the team members were already using. It was a perfect fit for a hybrid work environment.”
One of the biggest benefits of the move to Zoom Phone is the flexibility the Zoom platform provides. Sharks Sports & Entertainment team members can use a single app to connect with fans and guests from anywhere, which elevates the service the team can provide.
“Zoom has quite literally been a game-changer for us as a sales and service staff,” said Brian Towers, Vice President of Sales & Services for SSE. “Our staff loves the ease of being able to have their video meeting, their phone calls, and schedule new meetings all in one centralized place. It makes them more efficient, and they can take it with them anywhere they go.”
