Welcome To Edgewater High School!
"The Pride of College Park and Orlando"
We are already into week four of the second quarter and even though it feels like it is moving fast, we are just hitting the mid-way point of the second leg in a long journey to the finish line. In this long journey, we must build up our endurance to complete the goal of finishing what we have started strong. Sometimes when we think of endurance, we think of a marathon and what it takes to compete in one. The mental and physical exertion a marathon takes on your body can be overwhelming, but the reward is great. Much like a marathon, school can be the same way for our students and staff. It is important for each of us to be here everyday, so we can build the endurance necessary to perform at the highest levels when it matters most and make Edgewater even more special than it is.
Speaking of endurance, I had the opportunity to cheer on our girls and boys cross country team on Thursday in Melbourne at their district meets. Both teams put on a show as both teams advanced to the regional meet this week in Palm Bay. Our girls team placed third in districts and our boys team placed seventh in districts (top eight teams advance to regional play). Our very own Ella Bichanich (sophomore) put on a show finishing in the top 15 runners in the girls districts (12 place).
