Why do some airport codes not work?

I am having trouble getting some airport codes to work. For example, whenever I enter 9g0 , which is Buffalo Airfield in West Seneca, New York, I get an error code.

We’re aware of this bug (two, actually), and working on it.
In the case of 9G0, we have recieved tracking data for flights to/from it, but our current list of airports doesn’t have a name and location for it. We’re trying to get a better database of airports.
