Old MacBook Repeatedly Prompts Sign In to Apple ID When I Cannot

My MacBook is too old to sign into my Apple ID, but it constantly prompts me to sign into it despite when I attempt for me to be told that my laptop is too old to sign in. Why would you make your hardware and software do this? It's quite annoying as there's no option for me to stop further notifications from popping up and it just continues to pop up even after closing the window? Whenever I try to sign into iCloud, it attempts to sign in with my MacBook first and the same notification pops up telling me my MacBook is too old to sign into my Apple ID. I understand that, so why doesn't the software/hardware understand that when they understand enough that my software (Catalina) cannot be updated and is obsolete? My MacBook works perfectly fine despite being gutted of use with the newer updates since my main usage of it was for my iCloud, but now this is just frustrating and I've been an apple customer for a decade. This type of issue is making me reconsider buying another MacBook when I was originally planning on doing when this one ceases being useful, but my version is mid-2012 pro so really there's no rush to upgrade as it's the last version that you are able to customize RAM/SSD/etc.

You are not contacting Apple on this website. To contact Apple you need to Contact Apple. If you would prefer to rephrase your question in light of the knowledge that you are asking your fellow Apple product users to help you, then please do that. For what it's worth I have no trouble at all logging into sites that require Apple ID credentials (such as Apple Support Communities) with Macs older than 2012 models, running commensurately older operating systems. I'm using one right now.

Your question is confusing to me, and more information would help. Are you describing two different Macs — a MacBook and a MacBook Pro?

I wasn’t attempting to contact apple. I just did not know how to phrase the post considering this is a community for asking questions.

I also didn’t know if it were acceptable to mention those methods if they weren’t apple affiliated. I have disabilities and it’s very difficult for me to search for answers to this problem, which I need assistance as in just anyone that knows how to remedy the problem (like yourself) and some help on what steps I need to take to resolve this issue myself. MacBook Pro mid-2012.
