MacBook Pro Two users logged in mouse lag

Hi all,

I have a MacBook Pro with Sonoma 14.6.1. I have two users, one for work and one for personal activities such as gaming.

If I log in on one user, everything works okay. Then I lock the screen and log in to the other one. Then the problem starts to appear: the mouse pointer gets "stuck" - it lags behind. For example if I currently hover on Point A, and then move to Point B, the mouse does not move for a while (a second or so) then it wakes up.

I am using only the track pad, no external device. There is no issue when I only have one user logged in, so I don't think it is a hardware problem

Is there anything I can do?

You likely do not have enough RAM memory to support two simultaneous users, and 'Swap Used' is killing performance.

But the solution is easy. Log out the first user before the second logs in, unless/until you buy a Mac with MUCH more RAM memory.
