I tried to add a credit card but says it’s not compatible. It is compatible. I’ve added it to wallet and removed it. It was in there originally and then stated it could not be verified. I removed the card but n both Apple and wallet and the same result keeps happening. I don’t have any payment method in Apple now.

Did you follow all the steps in this article:
If you can't add a card to Apple Wallet to use with Apple Pay - Apple Support
Including this:
Apple does not approve or decline cards for use with Apple Pay. If your card was declined, contact your bank or card issuer.

I have never used a credit card on iTunes so I never went through Apples vetting requirements.
I have done all the things in this article and still cannot add my credit card to Apple. I did in my wallet but not for iTunes
