Is it possible to completely remove macOS and have just Linux?

Mac Air M2, Sonoma 14.5

I don’t understand other posts on the subject: is it possible to completely remove MacOS and have just Linux that i was able to install as dual boot?

Linux native boot support for Apple silicon is in its early stages. If you’re asking this question here (and not in a Linux-related forum), and if you don’t understand the previous discussions presumably around Asahi Linux status (wiki) and other such resources, then you’re definitely headed for the deep end of the proverbial pool, too.

If you want to run Linux, then running it as a guest in a virtual machine is likely a better course. But that still means learning about and installing and using a virtual machine, and a Linux guest. The Parallels virtual machine is probably one of the easier choices, there.

If you want to run Linux on a bare metal Apple Silicon (aka M1,M2,M3) Mac, it is a waste of your money.

You would be better off getting an intel based Windows computer, and installing Linux. The intel hardware is a more well understood platform, and Linux would better support all the systems capabilities, especially graphics GPU hardware.

If you are interested in macOS and Linux, then using a virtual machine on macOS to run a Linux guest OS, would be an approach. Parallels, as mentioned by MrHoffman would be one approach.

UTM would be another
