NVivo Transcription / Final Cut Pro

I'm editing a documentary in Final Cut Pro and planning to use NVivo for transcription and of course qualitative data analysis...

I have recorded over 100 unstructured interviews and many hours of observational footage... and have previously used Lumberjack Builder for transcripts and logging which is brilliant..!

Does NVivo Transcription time stamp and synchronise video clips that can be uploaded to Final Cut Pro?

My background is in social science, not editing... but trying to learn enough FCP basics to be able to organise my material in a helpful way for the real editor :-)

A quick look at the Nvivo site says their transcription tool can output .docx or .txt files. You could try their free trial and export a txt file, then run it through an online subtitle conversion tool like editingtools dot io to double-check the workflow into FCP does what you expect.

I had never heard of NVivo before your post. What exactly are you wanting to see and do in FCP with their transcripts? If you can describe your end goal maybe we can help.
