How do you markup the top and/or bottom of a photo?

From the Photos app, when you tap on a photo, you can tap on "Edit" in the upper right, then tap the three dots in the lower right, then "Markup" to get to the markup mode. From there, you can draw all sorts of things on the photo, which is great, but the "Cancel" "Done" bar at the top obscures the top of the photo and the markup tools at the bottom cover the bottom of the photo. Once you start drawing, you cannot scroll the picture (at least not that I could find).

How do you markup the top and/or bottom of a photo?

I wish you had included your iOS the first time, because, by golly, you're right! It's different in 17. That's pretty frustrating, and I see no way around it! Leave feedback for Apple here:

Hi,

I'm on iOS 17.5.1.

I attached screensnaps which show the top and bottom which are obscured in markup.

Circled in Red in photo below is the top and bottom I can't markup in markup mode.

Now see Markup mode:

I cannot test on your system version Japan George, but have you tried to add the markup you want to add at the bottom and the top first to the center of the photo, then to drag it to the top and the bottom, behind the obscuring elements?

On my iPhone I can drag any new added mark-up items towards the top and bottom and they will vanish behind the controls. Have you tried it?

But I am having a different version of iOS on my mobile devices.

The items can no longer be dragged or removed, once I leave Edit mode. Then I have to revert to the original to get rid of them.

What iOS are you using? I have a 12 Pro running iOS 16, and it does not obscure the top and bottom of the image in markup.

Drag is not possible once in markup mode, I believe it only operates on full photo.

Can you show the steps of how you drag photo to expose top and bottom?
