safari shows mic usage when playing youtube video

Encountered a weird "bug", basically when you play video on YouTube, macOS tells you that my mics are being used.

But in Safari settings YouTube has no access to mics. Currently using macOS Sonoma 14.4.

Hopefully we get an answer soon. I’m getting this too. And in the privacy microphone settings, nothing comes up to be able to turn off access. Any video I play turns on the mic. Anywhere on the internet. Not just YouTube videos. That’s not safe.

im on udemy. And even in the settings for udemy in safari, the microphone access is set to ask. I changed it to deny, and it still turns on when I click play on the video.

I used to have the same problem, and I solved it.

1 - go to safari settings

2- Microphone

3- Mark as "deny" into the current open websites (if you have YouTube open)

4- Mark "deny" below in the right-down corner when it says: "When visiting other websites."

5- Quiet safari

6- Open safari and problem solve

I Wish this helps you!
