I noticed a circle with a “play” icon in the middle. I clicked on it and it said Twitter Embed.
iI am not an active Twitter user and simply want it off my computer.
I am not a developer. So if you can suggest a fix in layman’s terms, I’d really appreciate your help!
Lacking any context regarding how this entity appeared on your Mac or which app you were using when you encountered it, I suggest restarting your Mac in the usual manner. When asked "Are you sure you want to shut down your computer now" de-select the option to reopen windows when logging back in.

Ridding of Twitter App:
Where do you wee this? Is it in the Applications menu? What makes you suspect it is embedded in your MacBook? Apple wouldn't embed that on a Mac. So, drag it to the Trash.
Having a similar issue. The icon is on the menu bar, & I am not a Twitter member.
The restart with not reopening apps & windows works.
