Request for Refund - Unauthorized In - Game Purchases by Minor

Dear Apple Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request a refund for unauthorized in-game purchases made on my account without my knowledge or consent. I recently discovered that my child, Tuan, made several purchases within Summoner War using my Apple ID, resulting in unexpected charges on my account.

I understand that as the account holder, I am ultimately responsible for any activity that occurs under my Apple ID. However, I would like to emphasize that these purchases were made without my knowledge or permission. As a parent, I take appropriate measures to supervise my child's online activities and ensure the responsible use of technology. Unfortunately, my child managed to make these purchases without consulting me.

I sincerely regret any inconvenience this situation may have caused, and I would like to resolve it amicably. To prevent such occurrences in the future, I have taken immediate steps to address the issue. I have enabled stricter parental controls on my Apple devices and implemented stronger security measures to ensure that my child cannot make unauthorized purchases in the future.

I fully understand and accept the consequences of these actions. I am willing to have my account locked for Summoner War to prevent any further purchases and to ensure greater security going forward. I kindly request your understanding and assistance in processing a refund for the unauthorized in-game purchases made by my child.

I greatly appreciate your attention to this matter and kindly request a prompt review of my refund request. I genuinely value Apple's commitment to customer satisfaction, and I am hopeful that you will consider my appeal favorably. If there is any additional information or steps required to proceed with the refund process, please do not hesitate to inform me.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance in resolving this matter. I look forward to a positive resolution.

Sincerely,

NamTH

I am going thru the same thing. My sons Apple ID made a large number of tictok coin purchases. My refund request was denied. We have ask to buy turned on and none of these were approved. The first apple rep was nasty and disconnected my call. The second rep continues to say apple policy says ineligible for refund. I was in tears and they do nothing. I have never made a request like this before I was told I would have to hold for 25-35 min for a supervisor and that they would do nothing different. The $600+ Charges would not be refunded. They are all in one day apple refuses to look at the time of day purchased. I am not in a financial place to just let this kind of money be gone for no reason. Apple is really wrong for treating customers like this.

Hello,

To request a refund, you can access the following article: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support You will need to go to reportaproblem.apple.com, choose "I'd like to..." >> request a refund and "Tell us more" >> a child/minor made purchase(s) without permission. You need to then select the item and then select submit. Hope this helps. Also, for further notice, I would recommend removing all personally identifiable information as this is a public forum and is community based, not handled by Apple directly. For that, you would chat with Apple Online Support using Contact - Official Apple Support

The fact that your child has access to your Apple account and can make purchases is evidence that the purchases were authorized.

My young children had purchased in app purchases without my knowledge. I am a single and struggling mother who cannot afford $150+ charges on Monopoly Go. I have tried to dispute this with Apple and Paypal. Apple refunded my credit card, yet there are still multiple charges on my debit card. My kids are smart so I don't even know how they switched my payment method. I have submitted several requests for a refund and they were all denied. I had spoken to a very nice Apple representative who supported my claim, yet Apple has still denied these payments. I am wondering if my bank would help. I am confused that they would refund my credit card but not debit card..... Please help
