My son purchased the app without permission and I would love to please have a refund.

All you can do is try by using this link:

If you give anyone your Passcode/Password, you are authorizing them to use your device and that includes for purchases. If you do allow someone to use your iPhone, then Apple provides many tools to prevent purchases from being made, but it is up to you to use them. If they have their own device, the same should be done on theirs.

  • Require Password for purchases

Require a password for App Store and iTunes purchases - Apple Support

  • Prevent In-App Purchases

Use Screen Time to turn off in-app purchases on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

  • Use Guided Access

Use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

  • If the purchase was made on the child's device, then you have the Ask to Buy option.

Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy - Apple Support

  • Remove the App Store using Screen Time by going to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Installing Apps, and change this to Don't Allow.
