Non-accessible content
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the ‘Digital Strategy’ website, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix.
Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for the ‘Digital Strategy’ website:
- Interactive maps are not accessible to screen readers and keyboard users, nor is text alternative provided; they may not be of sufficient contrast or misbehave while zooming (overlapping) and may contain keyboard trap;
- Some audiovisual content may not be optimised, in particular:
- Some images may miss meaningful description, conversely purely decorative images may be made visible to screen readers; titles introducing videos may be not always meaningful too;
- Some images may lack sufficient contrast;
- Some pre-recorded videos may contain text information accompanied by musical soundtrack only, with no narration nor text transcript accompanying it;
- Some PDF files may contain erroneous tags and misuse of headings;
- In some instances, the focus indicator of a link may be with insufficient contrast;
- In some instances, keyboard navigation to select filters may not work properly, may collide with screen readers command and may present confusing information;
- Not all labels of commands for screen readers were translated; switching among languages of the website using the screen readers may be confusing;
- When using website menu on mobile devices, users relying on assistive technologies may notice discrepancies when using keyboard and when using screen reader.
